How to make 2026 your best year ever, using the Tourism Knowhow framework

Date: 1.30-3.30pm on Tuesday, 20th January 2026

Venue: Delta Hotel by Marriott, York Racecourse, Tadcaster Road, York, YO24 1QQ

Detailsa fast-paced, upbeat and interactive marketing workshop designed to really kick-start your marketing for 2026.

It uses the Tourism Knowhow framework, developed over 30 years by Susan Briggs, a tried-and-tested way to think through what you need to do, be aware of current and future trends, and to maximise opportunities for your tourism business.

Make sure you bring pen and paper, ready to make a LOT of notes (you need to do this on paper - you'll see why in the session), with space to create an action checklist.

During this session, we'll work through a number of questions - and answers - to motivate you to set achievable targets, use the most powerful marketing methods and create a plan you can stick to.

This workshop is of equal use to those who are just getting started or been in business a long time. Expect to leave the session with a clear sense of purpose, strong action points and lots of enthusiasm and ideas!

This programme of support is part of the Boost programme, funded through York and North Yorkshire’s SPF (Shared Prosperity Fund) allocation, so funded by the Combined Authority.
