No time for marketing?

Every now and then someone tells me they haven't got time for marketing.
Each of them runs their own tourism business. And I find it a very odd thing to say.
If you run a business, presumably you need visitors in order to make a living?
How are they going to find you if you don't spend any time marketing?
Marketing is as much part of running a business as sending invoices/banking money or cleaning. It's essential.
Even if you decide to only promote your business through online travel agents like booking.con, you still have to do some marketing such as taking photos, updating the description etc - and it costs far more in commission.
So maybe those who say they don't have any time for marketing are actually saying something else?
They don't know exactly what to do, so never quite feel like making time for marketing?
They don't really believe in their business so marketing doesn't feel worthwhile? Is it maybe time to sell or change what you do?
They feel overwhelmed and uncertain. Sometimes just starting one small task that you can repeat at regular intervals is all it takes
They're worried about the technology and being up to date. Most technology such as social media or mailing systems are designed for you to just follow a list of questions to set up and then there are tons of tutorials available to easily learn more. The fear of technology is generally worse than actually trying to use it!
They believe in magic and everything will just magically fall into place?
There's really only one way you'll make your business successful and profitable - by allocating some time for marketing and being consistent.
If you're struggling to know what to actually do, I can help!
Marketing is never a time-wasting activity: it's a key way to generate more revenue!
